JIMBO & THE SOUPBONES – “BEST IN BURGH”

Jimbo and the Soupbones, a funky soulful band hailing from New Kensington PA, and lead by the vocals of smooth operating front man Jimbo Jackson, was the first band to take the stage.JimboandtheSoupbones(1) Their powerful lyrics and eclectic mix won the crowd and set a tone that would be hard to top.The closing of the show left the judges panel, also composed of local musicians, with a very hard decision at hand. The Carnegie Arts and Heritage Festival hosted its first, ever Battle of the Bands competition!

They’ve won a $1,000 cash prize plus a definite spot in next year’s festival. They were not only the favorite of the judges, but won the people’s choice ballot, too!
